Here’s a mindfulness + meditation experiment to get you started.
Take a deep breath down into your belly. Close your eyes if you want.
As you exhale, release down through your body & into the Earth— head, neck, shoulders, chest, belly, back, hips, all the way down to toes.
Do this at least two more times.
Now see if you can notice your breath, and follow it flowing in, down to the middle of your chest. This is what we call the “heart center.”
Now that you’ve noticed your heart, see if you can “listen in” to notice how your heart responds to the words below, speaking each word slowly, & pausing after each word to notice any inner responses (they may be subtle!):
acceptance • joy • Love • connection • compassion • grace • presence • mindfulness • curiosity • trust • equanimity • empowerment • authenticity • wholeness • freedom
If your heart said “Yes!” or “I’m curious” to any of the above (or even, “I want that, but I’m also afraid to move towards it!), then you’re in the right spot.

Endless grace. We are all doing the best we can with what we’ve got at any given moment. Compassion is the foundation of everything else we do. Compassion creates space for understanding. I believe that true, long-lasting change is rooted in compassion for ourselves and others.

Practicing nonjudgmental awareness and acceptance of our present moment experience. Incorporating mindfulness skills into life helps us manage stress and feel more connected.

Healing is not linear, and we can’t always predict what will arise for healing and when. Meaningful change takes time and usually repeated effort. I also believe that relationships and trust naturally take time to form and I honor that timeline.
